Hey everyone! Volume 2, I've got a few shows coming up soon. I am playing at The Wild Goose Creative Venue this Friday. There will be several underground and local acts including myself from Columbus Ohio and the surrounding area. I am very thankful to be apart of this event. I have a 30 minute set lined up, and i plan on bringing a good mix of original songs. Click the image for more details!
Also, i was hit up by a musician named Ryan Kerr on Instagram recently, and after talking and collaborating we booked a show together on June 15th at The Treebar. The show will feature five acts including myself, Ryan, Shane Gunderson of Strike Two, Sam Hall, and Forget The Tiger. More details will be available soon on the show, but otherwise this will be a great local show on a Monday night. Click the image for more details.
I also have a show coming up on June 20th In Akron Ohio at Ripper's Rock House. It will be my first solo show in that area and i am very excited to be playing for my Akron / Canton Ohio family. The show is the "BENEFIT FOR JOZEY" Show. Jozey is a local musician and father who has been diagnosed with a degenerative aortic valve. He was born with a bicuspid heart valve and 16 years ago had his aorta and aortic valve replaced. The valve lasted 6 years longer then the doctors expected, but he still has to have it replaced. As a result of the surgery Jozey will not be physically able to work and has to wait until after the surgery to go back to work. Recuperation time is expected to be six to twelve weeks, depending on his bodies reaction to the surgery. More Details for the show will be available later, and the event can be found by click the link.
Lastly, Saturday night i have a show with my currently Band, Returning April. $3 gets you 3 Cool Bands, 10pm FreeTVs, 11pm Chuck Oney & The Flare-Ups!, Midnite Returning April. If you aren't going to another show or The Rolling Stones, come see us.
I'll be recording this Sunday, hopefully a four track EP will be set to release mid to late June. I am really excited to be recording new music. I am still trying to secure a date for a release party, but i am working with multiple people to make that happen. I'll keep you all in the loop and post as soon as i have something secured. I am really excited about all my upcoming projects and events. I have some more shows in the works with some other artists around town as well. I am a busy musician suddenly.
Thanks for reading and keeping up with all my adventures in music guys, until next week!
Every Wednesday i am going to be posting about Bands and Musicians i've opened for, played shows with, and generally like and Listen to. Here are my Three This week for the 2nd volume of the Wednesday Music Run-Down
Last Days Pay:
Punk rock, cheap beer, sniffing panties. Last Day's Pay focus on the important things in life. Formed in the summer of 2013, Last Day's Pay are punk rockers at their core, but refuse to tie themselves down to a single genre. Their music blends influences of punk, classic rock, hair metal, and grunge to create a familiar but unique sound. I gladly drive 2 hours away to see these guys at least once or twice a month. They put on such a great show and get the crowd involved more than any other band I've seen. I've got to join them on several occasions, and it is a blast. i can honestly say Joe, Randy, Jake and Chris of last days pay have been some of the greatest friends I've made in the last few years. These guys are staples of the north east Ohio Music scene (Akron / Canton / Cleveland). There full length album "Pink Slip" has been the most played CD in my car...Ever.

Dominic Is a wonderfully talented singer / songwriter /pianist. This kid can flat out play. His moniker "Blues infusion" suits his style and his music. I recently was offered an opportunity to play bass for him at Tatoheads in Columbus Ohio. Playing along side him was one of the funnest nights of my career as a musician. I see Dominic going places, he's got such a unique talent, he just has a charisma about himself.
I can say i a big fan.

Many eons ago (roughly 2012) atop the volcanic peak of Death Mountain, a messenger from the stars ascended from it's position among-st the Rock Gods, carrying a gift from the heavens. To this day, no one is quite sure what exactly it was, but what is known is that it was something...well...keen. I wish i could take credit for writing that. Something Keen is progressive indie hard rock power band puts on a really fun and engaging show. I recently saw them and was really feeling the vibe they were giving. The music had a lot of drive and good melodies. Be sure to catch them around Columbus. They are certainly worth seeing, hopefully i can catch them again soon.

Really excited to be playing this event:
I've met so many cool musicians and people within the last few months, as a result i'm finding myself very busy, in a good way. I also am hammering out details with a gent who contacted me via twitter for a show at the Treebar on June 15th. I am also working on securing a date for my CD release in late June. So much good stuff going on.
Plus i have a kinda surprise / secret. I was asked to play a show tonight (5/21/15) with a musician Friend of mine. I'll be playing bass, who knows, it if goes well, i could be doing it more often. I love being able and having the opportunity to play multiple instruments. I play so many, why let my talents go to waste.
i'll post more about it later.
For now that's all i have. i plan on uploading a new song via YouTube soon, but i'll post it here first, so stay tuned.

A punk band not quite like any you've heard before, The Scratches give a fresh feel to a classic sound. Formed in Columbus, Ohio by four veterans of the local punk scene, The Scratches quickly combined their individual strengths to develop a sound that is both original and nostalgic.
I've been following these guys for a long time and have been blessed to share a stage with them a few times. The nicest group of guys you'll ever meet. Insane Bass solos, amazing harmonies, and a great punk sound describes this band best. They have a Killer Album out called "Bite Me" Available on there site. It spent probably 3 weeks in my car CD player before i took it out, that's how catchy and good it is. They have a huge show coming up with "ANTI-FLAG" on June 25th, tickets are on sale through them for 15$.

Strike Two is a three piece rock and roll band from central Ohio.
I've been following these guys for a few months since i befriended them at a Scratches show last winter. I really like the sound they have as a gritty, punk at the core, Rock N' Roll sound. I'm really excited for there new album "This One's For The Dogs". It should release sometime in June, and they have told me there will be some upcoming shows for it too.

The Underhills are a six-piece acoustic group formed in Bloomington, Indiana in 2012. Masterfully weaving together guitars, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, and bass, the band creates an original sound that is evocative of old-time folk and bluegrass music, while experimenting with new ideas and grooves not typically heard on these instruments. Inspired by the wooded hills of southern Indiana, they combine rich harmonies and virtuosic instrumental ability to carve out their own niche within bluegrass music.
I opened for these guys recently at THWNN, and they blew me away. Not normally a fan of the bluegrass or the style, but they changed my mind. They put on a great show, and it was extremely fun. I picked up there EP, which is self titled., and found it really refreshing and fun to listen to. The song catacombs is my favorite for sure. They are touring cross country right now, and last i checked they were in Omaha.

I submitted to Mag-Fest and Live At The Garden 4 this week.
